QUOTE (newres @ Mar 3 2019, 01:54 PM) So one in 50 years. So actually I was right. Shock! Horror! Historically we run a trade deficit. No. You were wrong. But you would never admit that. 😂😂

QUOTE (TallDarkAndHandsome @ Mar 3 2019, 04:34 PM) Your insults are very poor. Quite sad actually. Never mind. Just a reflection of what you are. ... You’re actually a bit sensitive aren’t you. I thought it was us liberals that were the snowflakes?

QUOTE (newres @ Mar 4 2019, 09:32 AM) Sorry to hear that too. Thank you both. We may have a bit of banter on here but some things transcend political differences. Worst experience of my life. 🙁😭

I am in the same club. Dad to a car crash a while back . Nobody can prepare you for it. I'm trying to stay positive but it's sooooooo difficult. I think the sense of loss is both of the one you love and selfishly the loss to you of the one consistent thing in your life. The one you could turn to, whatever the circumstances.. 🙁

QUOTE (Turin Machine @ Mar 5 2019, 10:50 AM) Enjoy them while you have them, you don't realise how much you should have said to them untill it's too late. I know that to some people they're just a dribbly embarrassment that smells of pee and germolene but spend time with them, talk to them, and remember that once you lose them you can't ever tell them how much you love them. And show them some respect, they deserve it. Total agreement. Always regretted not asking my grandfather more about his early life, ( late 19th century). Never object to caring for their needs in old age as they cared for you when you were a baby. A bum needs cleaning whether they are capable or not so do not shy away from the task in hand. My sympathies to all on here who have lost someone, but reflect on their lives not their death.

QUOTE (je suis Charlie @ Mar 12 2019, 07:28 PM) There it is then, extension to article 50, second referendum, remain in EU. Why? Why did the politicians not simply say two years ago that they wouldn't honour the result and tell Junker were staying. Would have saved all this wasted time and money. The issue is that May should have reached out earlier to the other side. Oh. Has TDH stopped his clock?

From the BBC website,
"Laura Borland, 35, is a Remainer living in Sunderland who didn’t vote in the referendum
She says: “I can’t believe they’ve not come to some sort of deal so close to 29 March.
"I almost feel like we should have another election, but I wouldn’t know who to vote for.
"We should sack the lot of them.”
So this 'remainer' didn't bother to vote last time, and now she thinks we should have an election, which presumably she won't bother to vote in. I despair, I really do.

Over 17 million people won't bother engaging with democracy again. Don't personally think it's something to laugh about. Don't come crying on this forum when the far right inevitably (and it will be foul and disgusting) start to reap the seeds that these idiots have sown. These clowns are about to start a crisis.

There’s a lot like that who just assumed Remain was a foregone conclusion. That’s why Leave are against a second vote because it’ll be a resounding vote for Remain this time.
