Going back to this one, it’s funny because I have the opposite reaction, in that, I find myself feeling rather less than favourable on the religious members of the parish, then I read some of the implied and sometimes overt racism and then I’m cured.

Would be interesting to see how the conversation progressed compared to the online jargon. I suspect everyone would be sweetness and light and any differences would be debated in a civilised manner. But there again one is unlikely to get into a heated argument over matters such as immigration with someone you have just met.

The only accurate thing you said was that I’m not a troll. I won’t deny that I do enjoy winding you all up, but my views are on the whole genuinely held. Who said anything about racism? If you assimilate immigrants and refugees into a populous gradually you tend not to have a problem. If you overwhelm them then you do. It ain't rocket science.
