QUOTE (Familytreeingforever @ Aug 15 2009, 03:10 PM) Man City will have to do well seeing how much money they have spent, otherwise I think Mark Hughes will be in big trouble. Still think it will take them half a season to find their best team though! # Yes, Man City won 2-0. WH beat Wolves and Everton just lost to Arsenal 5-0. Fulham also won. That is the kiddie games over; the big matches are tomorrow.

QUOTE (Sarah @ Aug 15 2009, 11:01 PM) In the unlikely event that Spurs score as many goals tomorrow, as Arsenal did today, you might allowed to take that bag off your head, and even your foot out of your mouth. Thank you.... I am honoured. We better hope then that we score well then tomorrow. However, one point; Liverpool are harder opposition than Everton was facing Arsenal. So a victory over Liverpool would be equivalent as Arsenal putting 5 past Everton. By the way; have you ever seen the gunners play football? Live that is, and not on the box either.

QUOTE (Iommi @ Aug 16 2009, 12:34 AM) 6 goals away to Everton is quite an achievement, but I still think it'll be a flash in the pan. 'six'? The last I heard it was 5... they must have scored another one after I switched off the results. I agree... it was lucky... however, Everton haven't really bought anything this season.

QUOTE (Biker1 @ Aug 16 2009, 08:40 AM) My wife supports Arsenal! I just let her get on with it poor woman. Me - I have better things to do - just done some painting and watching it dry. Your wife is an Arsenal supporter!? Oh, I am soooo sorry. My commiserations go to you (or should it be with her ). I believe a good psychiatrist could help or ask her to try to dip her head in a bucket of water a few times; I’ve heard that will help. Have you ever thought of trying to get her off it and onto a football team?

QUOTE (Familytreeingforever @ Aug 15 2009, 03:00 PM) Looks like Hull were really unlucky to not get the draw against Chelsea today. I don't support Hull but I would like to see them do well. Hull were lucky Chelsea didn't have their shooting boots on. They would otherwise had been given a drubbing.

QUOTE (GMR @ Aug 16 2009, 11:07 AM) Just reading about yesterday's match; it seems that Arsenal won 6-1 in the end. I know, that's what i said. QUOTE (GMR @ Aug 16 2009, 11:07 AM) Hull where unlucky. Why? From the highlights, Chelsea could have had a hat full. Mind you, Drogba was crossing for his last goal.

They didn't though, it always makes me laugh when people talk about how many goals they "could have" scored, if we went on could haves, the results over the last 50 years would all be very different, especially in the cup competitions.

The point is... Chelsea deserved to win on endeavour (and match stats), Hull deafened and nearly got a point... that is unlucky is it? I suppose, if they were unlucky, that means Hull would have been lucky to have got a point.

No you said "6 goals away to Everton is quite an achievement, but I still think it'll be a flash in the pan." You never said anything about the 1 that Everton got. I thought Hull played well.... Chelsea wasn't on full throttle.
