Oh, and Amy Winehouse p.s. hello Hi and welcome, Are we talking Amy Winehouse as a person (which I would agree) or as a singer? Some of her songs - going by the few I've heard - are pretty good.

Yes, agreed, some of her songs are actually quite good, but then re-wind to the 60s and hear someone sing that kinda stuff live, and it knocks her off the perch almost every time. But hey.....that's just my opinion!! If we all liked the same artists.....the world would be a pretty dully place. Or an easier one....now there's the dilema! I'd also like to second the person who mentioned hair dryers on wheels earlier in the thread

Not easier; just dull and black and white

QUOTE (Strafin @ Jul 24 2009, 10:54 PM) Do you swear in public? It has been known, yes....BUT....I don't walk down the street using the 'F' word or 'C' word at least three times in any one given sentence. I know when not to, and when it may be acceptable, used in moderation for specific purpose in the appropriate company. I mean, FFS.....there's a time and a place for everything, but maybe not all the time

The sound of blocks of polystyrene rubbing together..... That ''Squeak" just sets my teeth on edge and I have to run out of rooms holding my ears.... (my kids tend to have a couple of blocks on hand in their bedrooms.... just to make sure they can get rid of me in double quick time when I'm bugging them to clean their mess up) An annoying noise is that 'mosquito' noise that shops use to keep kids away. It's annoying that I'm too old to hear it! (I bought a little hand held one just to get back at my kids when they 'polystyrened' me!)

QUOTE The sound I hate most is the awful base sound that comes from the hot hatches driven by mindless morons who can't believe they are the only ones who want to listen to that crap they insist on blasting out. Surely there must be a law to stop this sort of pollution? Don't blame me
