Hi All,

My son was pulling funny faces last night and I asked him what he was doing. He replied 'Trying to raise an eyebrow' (like his older brother can). He then said 'Can you blink with one eye?' so I said 'You mean wink?'.

It got me thinking (brain tired now!), most of us use 'Winks' in emails, texts or forum posts, but how many of us (apart from the ferocious AR) physically 'Wink' these days? Can't say I ever do or ever have done so why is it so popular in the written format?

It reminded me of a poem I used to know ....

A blink, I think, is the same as a wink,
A blink is a wink that grew,
For a wink you wink with only one eye,
And a blink you wink with two!

I find it creepy if a guy winks at me and I am sure many a man has been hit with a handbag for doing so !!
