I hope the the RMT leaders who have tickets to the game tonight, manage to get there. It wouldn't be so bad if they really wanted to help the 2 workers in question instead of their own political gain

Their main demands of a 5% pay rise and no compulsory redundancies were completely unrealistic in the middle of a recession. Fortunately I am now able to work at home in the event of either a Tube strike or National Rail strike.

With so many people being made redundant, taking pay cuts or 0% pay rise, why do these people think they are so special to have their terms met?

So you don't think that opening tube doors on the wrong side to the station isn't gross misconduct?

How did you work that out ? It's about how Unions like the RMT use the fact that these transport workers have to join them by law and then have to go on strike whether they want to or not. My point was, does the Union actually care and are they really looking after their members interests.

Sorry, have just reread your post and think that we are in agreement here. By making the demand to reinstate the two members of staff showed that the RMT had no interest in reaching an agreement over the strike. Fair play to the 58,000 fans who made it there though!
