They do but probably not as many think. You can say what you like about a virus but it has no prejudice whatsoever. Ignorance is the biggest ally any pathogen can wish for and this fellow has them by the sack full.

No hope whatsoever of a retrial, vague but slim chance of a sentencing review, but I doubt it'll happen. Unfortunately.

What's the betting that at some stage in the distant future it comes to light that the jury was subjected to "outside" influence.
We know how the poor widow feels but what about the chap who called the police in the first place? Had he gone out on his own little doubt they would have killed him, any other time the police would have been slow to respond owing to shortage of available personnel.
