Before the above local BBC Radio service was split into Berkshire & Oxon output,
I used to regularly enjoy listening to the irascible Bill Heine;
others may recall him.

I remember him! Poor bloke. He was a half decent presenter back in the day. Proper local radio. God bless him.

He also commissioned some spectacular artwork for his abode eg the shark in his roof.
After many arguments with local Planning, he eventually persuaded the relevant
Minister to allow it; recall it was Heseltine.

I remember that, even took a drive over to look at it, looked even stranger in real life. A real character, always very strong willed, a **** good listen. Real shame.

Sad, a true talent, he's up there somewhere starting an argument with someone.
