Hard times for local newspapers, that's for sure - look how many of them have gone under in the last decade. A really interesting item was a letter in the NWN, a few years back now, from a chap who said he, and his family, had seen something looking like aircraft wreckage suspended in the sky over Thatcham not many weeks previously. He then went on to say that, as a young man, one night he'd been in a group out walking in Cliftonville when a bus approached with its saloon lights on but only sidelamps showing and passed them. Only trouble was that the bus was in the sky... He reckoned it was connected with the Gillingham bus disaster a few years before.
