I'm sure you'd not wanted to have paid for the Telegraph and would have seen the Guardian.

No, that was only ever a suggestion by Michael Gove and never official government advice nor a rule and certainly not the law. The rule was that you were allowed out of your house once a day for exercise but no time period was ever specified.

One case a day in West Berkshire is certainly very limited and it certainly makes me considerably less nervous when out and about purchasing essential supplies.

Not what my neighbour was told when he rang the WBC help line in the early days....

So, in WBC its all over then? Lets just hope this one person didn't work in one of the big Supermarkets....

I certainly don't think that it is all over in West Berkshire but the current limited recorded infection rate gives me more cause for hope than if there were ten new cases, each of which who could have worked at a separate major supermarket.

TDH comment about knowing exactly where someone with a positive test resides is quite relevant here. On 'Social Media' someone provided a monthly reported death breakdown by Council Ward for West Berkshire. That caused quite some debate, mainly because there was an unusually large number reported for Clay Hill. When mentioned the Hospital in Turnpike Road or the several nursing homes in the ward, lots complaints about lack of privacy etc.etc. Little wonder the powers that be seem reluctant to give more info. than they have to, because it would seem 'we' simply can't cope with it.

The link is not the government position. The hour came about because Michael Gove was asked his opinion and he said about an hour. But it wasn’t in the guidelines. This is the problem about things being vague and you’ve demonstrated it perfectly. With delicious irony.

It's the elderly that are most at risk so should be a rebalance of politics.

Got a feeling that day may be a little further off than everyone thinks. This C19 is apparently proving a difficult bunny to copy from a virologist's aspect and I am beginning to think that HMG are reverting to plan A, (sic), which is herd immunity. Obviously they are not going to stand in front of their beloved camera and admit they took the "wrong" route as no one knew at the time but I can see a gradual lifting of restrictions to test the water.
Surely now is the time for Europe to put it's political differences apart and work as one to get it's collective economy back on track before we really experience suffering.

The only difference being you inferred that old people dying would benefit your political stance and I have said nothing at all about black people. 👍

Mind you I did see Sir Will and Je Suis in Waitrose yesterday..they were wearing protective face masks...

Just something I found lying around in the back of a cupboard. I have sent a suggestion note to HMG that maybe they should consider supplying white emulsion to the population at large, but still awaiting a reply. laugh.gif
