Some issues such as Brexit , Trump , fidget spinners are debated robustly on this, and other , forums and a common consensus reached, but this article has left me fuming .

To blatantly discriminate against the humble pineapple is surely reaching an all time low in our effort to broaden the diversity umbrella. Even reading as much as is feasibly possible in 30 seconds of googling the matter I can find no justification whatsoever in this ruling.

I ask all forum contributors to put aside their political differences and show their support with the humble Bromeliaceae . If we let this sort of thing get a hold who knows where it could end . Bananas from Wimbledon , grapes from hospitals and blackberries from apple pie ? angry.gif

The pineapple in question was only showing the entrepreneurial skills of an EU juggernaut driver . The snake is obviously well qualified in his field and is seeking to better his families standard of living . Little doubt it will contribute to the UK treasury and be a member of a recognised religion .

Please don't capitulate to the machinations of the gutter press such as the Daily Telegraph . Stand proud.

Cox's Orange Pippin isn't particularly English you know - it's the offspring of a French emigre coming originally from southern Kazakhstan. Mind, crab apples are native - yum!

Most of us are ******* offspring of Norse.
And oranges are not the only fruit. Kumquats are just plain wrong though.

Something tells me none of you are taking this seriously . angry.gif

Remember the immortal words of Martin Niemoller , " First of all they came for the pineapple but I did nothing because I was not a pineapple etc ",

Are you men or mere puppets of an oppressive regime ?

Simply we are living in dangerous times and have no control of our destiny.

Such a defeatist attitude Sir . When the Hun were knocking on the door did we not stand united in defence of what we believed in ?
Is the fence not still standing ?

Let us hope we soon have a pineapple for prime minister ..........or at least a fruitcake . wink.gif

It's not the pineapples fault, we should open a line of dialogue with all pineapple based fruits. If we were to simply talk to them we wouldn't have a problem! Pineapples for the many, not just for the fruit salads! Put down your time of whipped cream, lay aside your fruit spoons! Open your home's to these foreign fruits! You have nothing to fear but fruit itself!

It's rather interesting to look back at what 'we', or whatever defines 'we' did stand in defence of on that fateful Sunday in 1939. Then compare what we ended up with some five plus years later. Perhaps Pineapples aren't the only fruit!
