The same old argument keeps going round and round and the only people whose stance actually changes are the Brexiteers who have invested so much in making the biggest mistake in recent history that they are not prepared to let it go.

"We'll have more money"
"We'll have more money for the NHS"
"It's not about money"
"I want less immigration"
"Well we'll still have some immigration"
"It's not about immigration, its about sovereignty!"

And so on.

It wasn't a democratic decision, because it wasn't legally binding, didn't follow the way our constitution works, and not only did we not know the facts surrounding any deal made, the leave campaign were put through court and found guilty of lying about it!

I think most people are bored by Brexit; all we can do it wait and see. It's only the rent a gobs on both sides still making a noise.

As a matter of interest what constitutes a "foreigner"? Yes the royal family is of German descent but so are those who have lived here for a thousand years. The "Britons" were a mix of Celts and Romans and pretty much exterminated from England, (at least), by the Saxons etc who decided that this was a half decent place to live. They in turn were diluted by Danish blood before the arrival of the Normans who themselves had worked their way down from the North.
So having established that we are all "immigrants, or children of, maybe its about time we all packed our bags and followed our own doctrine and returned home before someone starts accusing us of gross hypocrisy. But of course our homeland is where those nice Germans who are so keen on a federal state now live and we have made it plain that we want no truck with that.

Postman Pat says it was over a thousand years late being delivered.

Do not swamp a society with 100's of 1,000's of not like minded people into your country. A trickle can be absorbed, but when you bring in so many at one time, disruption is guaranteed.

Why does the idiot only now, state Labour are ready to govern? Have the coffer contents been raised enough to start spending again?

What a shambles. Thank god they have Owen Jones to help them. Win win.

Support for a general strike with a MP visibly supporting that and then denying later on.

And as for this indoctrinated muppet.

WTF?

Thank god I'll be dead in 15 years. (Those of you in the social media world will know to what I refer)

Happened to engage in a conversation with a young lady earlier today as we awaited our respective prescriptions at the chemist. Transpired that she had just completed a degree in political studies, (oh yes), and without prompting embarked on a vitriolic tirade against D.Trump esq. In the same breath she likened those who voted for him as "muppets" similar to those who supported brexit.
So there you have it, if you voted to leave the EU then you are akin to a rabid republican and should be not allowed near sharp instruments or children. So much for a balanced education as obviously she was otherwise engaged when the bit about democracy was discussed.

Love it. You are so lucky to be able to quote first hand the problem.

Sounds like an eminently sensible young lady. She only needed to add that all those that voted out should be offered either a re-training program or neutering so as to not pass on the thick gene.

Think that is a little late as far as yours truly is concerned. I have to admit I am quite impressed with the social advancement of the female of the species as championed by the prince harry's wife in that they can now close car doors unaided. I am in the process of encouraging my lady to close the back door after hanging out the washing. cool.gif
