Can anyone confirm if the reception is particularly patchy around here? Took my new Range Rover back to the dealers last week to have the radio and antenna in the back checked out. They say there's nothing wrong but I'm not so sure, anyone else having problems as they drive round West Berkshire? I've checked the website to see if any transmitters are down but nothings showing. Anyone?

That's a true first world problem.

I have a Fiesta and the DAB works fine on that. Can pick up KISSTORY and Radio 1X without issue. But I use Spotify most of the time.

DAB is pretty pants anyway, for all the hoo-ha the bitrate is way too low. Fidelity is right out the window. Need DAB2 and wider bandwidth to do any good and I can't see that happening soon. angry.gif

As a by the by, if anyone is considering popping over to La Belle France pour votre vacation, I advise you to investigate whether you might benefit from purchasing a Crit air sticker before you go. Some cities now require you to display one or else!

This has been a public service announcement.

Mines already 'in the system'. Hopefully to arrive before I go away. Even though I'm going nowhere near Paris or Lyon my motto is "don't let the wife navigate." laugh.gif

In fact, it's turned up today. Six days to process it and get it to me, French efficiency I suppose. Vive la vacation. tongue.gif

Well, to bump this thread, finally found out what the problem was, got a new car in the early spring and was having exactly the same issue so I just kind of ignored it. Talking to someone down at the boatyard just the other week and mentioned I'd had problems with DAB and they asked if I had anything plugged into the 12v socket? Err yes, a charger, took it out and drove home to perfect reception. Been fine since. Apparently cos cheapo Chinese stuff ain't shielded it interferes with the signal.

So if anyone out there has the same problem, try that.
