I'm not a fan, but he does seem to have either a big or a loud fan base so I wonder what will happen.

I personally think he got too big for his boots about 5 years ago, and Top Gear has gone downhill since. I don't know what the viewing figures are, but I understand it is one of the shows that actually makes, rather than costs the BBC money so wondered what people,s thoughts were....

He makes the BBC a lot of money so I presume they will go through the emotions and then say naughty naughty and don't do it again and get back to work.

Howdy all,

I can't stand Clarkson and I am not into cars. To me they are tools to get you around from A to B. I don't know what he has done but I am sure he is now on his last legs.

Great show, funny man. Always pushing the envelope of what the droids at the beeb consider acceptable. A breath of fresh air in a stifled, stultified world of political correctness.

A 'fight' breaks-out in a TV production, whoop-de-do! Never mind, we'll just see him on the 'other side' now!

Ummm

The unbiased news provider creates the news and the 'uncommercial' broadcaster doesn't advertise......

For me, the story is about the need to abolish the licence fee and properly re define what public service broadcasting is all about.

Nonetheless, brilliant diversion tactic BBC!

I wonder why they actually made so much of this. There is more than enough real stuff on the news wires. The size of the BBC has always worried me because it's the state broadcaster.

I am a great fan of Top Gear and watch all the episodes. I just think this is a storm in a tea cup. They probably will have a discussion behind the scenes and get back to making the BBC a lot of money. After all it is one of the successful programmes they put out. Jeremy Clarkson is Top Gear. After all the BBC covered up people like Jimmy Savile and he has done a lot worse than Clarkson could ever do.

If a fight did breakout then I hope they filmed it as it will be a good show.

Doesn't everything point to the license free, one way or another?

Is punching people and making racist jokes really "pushing the envelope"?

Cobblers.

First it is an allegation (you both would be the first to reject trial by media, I'm sure). Second, saying something deemed to be racist doesn't stop someone from being an envelope pusher.
