I cocked the title up, but you know what I mean. Have you been watching? What do you think?

Same old, same old.....! Europe is either perfect and beyond any rational criticism OR it's simply c**p and we have to leave. No question of actually rolling our sleeves up and sorting it out.

I thought the whole thing was simply theatre, a bit like the Head Boy trying to bollock one of the smart *** 6th formers. Farrage I thought had the edge and Clegg's usual motherhood and apple pie approach didn't work, tried the usual LibDem, throw in some below the belters.

About as interesting and informative as a taxi ride.

(Good one to start AndyC)

Priceless. laugh.gif

Farage is kind of likeable, but I'm not into what he's pushing, and I have no interest whatsoever in anything Clegg has to say when I can see for myself at a local level what Lib-Dem values really are.

I thought it all very low brow. What we could do with is a BS filter, like that organisation that look into facts when a politicain says something. Both were really low on detail I thought. Clegg simply doesn't do Mr Nasty well, so he should stop that now.

Farage needs to explain how we will be better of out, just saying we weant to govern our own country isn't good enough an argument. Cleggs 'in it to win it' doesn work either. Such was the a lack of argument, I have a suspicion neither really knows whether they stand for the better option or not.

I though Clegg came over very poorly. All that ad hominem stuff that the Lib Dems always do just doesn't play out well. Will they never learn? I think it was a win for Farage, if only to get the airtime and share a platform with the DPM.

I have been watching on iPlayer. I got to 15 minutes in, then it was 1 o'clock so I turned over to the news. Maybe I'll get back to it a bit later...

Not particularly gripping stuff.

It's really really when last election, old Cleggy was right up there.

As RUP said - Farage can talk and people will listen.
