Perhaps it is about how things are reported, but I would imagine a press officer worth their salt would sort that out. I feel Council officers and councillors frequently drop faux pas.
Who was that Tory that called his constituents idiots for driving over Parkway bridge, for instance? He's brilliant that one; he's the one that couldn't comment about the successful Parkway bridge appeal because it was unprintable!
