Hello everyone,

Thought i would start the next topic and ask, how do you like this new story about so called Boy Racers. I was there as this video was being filmed and liked the questions being asked. Just want to say thankyou to Mr Journalist (not sure if i should mention his name) for coming down and allowing this to happen. Hopefuly its given you (residents) some insight to what we think and have to say.

My first Rant - Not so happy two nights ago as a traffic cop pulled up along side us (about 5 cars of us in a line parked up nicely in Tesco out the way) as soon as they got out of their car, their first words were... There have been a number of complaints by the manager of Tesco saying you lot have been wheel spinning and driving irrisponsibly. First of, this was incorrect, we haven't moved our cars within the space of 40 mins and the funny thing is, since being at Tesco... NO ONE in the area was doing what they said. I strongly believe the manager of Tesco is abusing his power to move people on. We understand greatly that its a Tesco carpark and its for parking up and purchasing. But for calling the police and giving in our number plates, which the police said he did, is unbelievable. We was threatened with a caution and was told if we come back tomorrow (last night) and get reported in again (faulsly) we will all get section 59's. This never happened thankfuly.

My first thought - They say its a Tesco carpark you shouldn't be here, its for parking up and going shopping. The same with McDonalds and the same with the Retail carpark and other places... but everything is owned by someone in this world! Where ever we go, we will be abused because the place we will end up going to, to socialise is owned by somebody. As they say, nothing is free in this world!

Why don't you go to Tot Hill services? it is in the middle of nowhere and they have a McDonalds up there so you can eat yourself silly.

Shame that when the reporter was with you they didn't try and speak to the manager of Tesco's and broker a meeting between you both so you could get your point of view across to them and come up with a compromise

I don't mean to be rude but your spelling and punctuation are awful (not awfull), might I suggest you stay in of an evening and do some studying rather than driving around in your saxo, it really will stand you in better stead for the future wink.gif

Bill1 what is wrong with my post? I was informing the boy racer that I was not interested in his car or who he was. Please don't make the place dull e.g. posting about the clock being wrong!

GBR - it is the 5% of mindless idiots that do do donuts & handbrake turns that ruin it for everyone.

Mr Tesco problably didn't want the white lines on his car park trashed, so called the Plod before anything happened.

And, as private property Mr Tesco is quite within his right to have anyone 'moved on'.
