Though he had many faults and quirks through his turbulent and often troubled life, he undoubtedly provided the world with some classic and unique music and will be a great loss to many for that very reason

All my life from i loved his music and wanted to see him. I grew up listening to his music. I got tickets to see him in August and was so excited. I was devasted when i woke up this morning to the news, in fact i cried which surprised me. No matter what people think of his lifestyle he is one of the best artists in the world. I have all his albums and played one very loud on the way to work this morning. He will be remembered forever. Amie

Don't blame it on the sunshine! Dont blame it on the good times!!

Anyway, his dates in london have now officially been cancelled. Thomas (age 12) and Jack (age 13) are said to be "gutted"

We know, we know! It just didn't flow as well! Apart from that I don't blame it on the moonlight either!

Who are Thomas and Jack?

He was a very troubled person. A black man who was good looking and decide to morph himself into a white caricature of Judy Garland and Elizabeth Taylor and who had a monkey as a friend. A really troubled person. He did leave us with some great music though. My favourite was "Ben". Funny enough that was about a rat!!

Sorry, either not on your wavelength or having a blonde/senior moment or possibly all 3!

Still don't get it!

He was an easy target. The tabloids fell over themselves to lambast him.

He was no more troubled than a lot of other child stars, but the media singled him out for a pasting. Many child stars, deprived of what should be the best years of their lives struggle in later years.

The media loves building up celebrity & then smashing it down. A bit like Gazza, Frank Bruno, etc etc.

I bet there is already a whole slew of saddos on the 'phone to the Max Cliffords of the World wanting 6 figures sums for their made up tales.

Elvis wasn't exactly 100% when he went, Ozzy Osborne is a caricature of himself at the beck & call of his Svengali of a wife, Phil Spector is in jail for murder, It is ironic that you mention Garland & Taylor - both of whom have had a life of personal problems, insecurity & plastic surgery.

ps - I have never bought a Jackson record & don't really like his material. Weird Al did a good cover though.

Police say Michael Jacksons death could be suspicious, their currently looking for a smooth criminal, he could be black or white but he's definitely bad and dangerous. They got fingerprints off the wall and they say say say there was a man in the mirror, so he has to be there. They would like Ben and Billy Jean to come forward but they dont want to be starting something, Police say they don't stop till they get enough as they found blood on the dance floor, it's going to be a tough case but they will beat it. Police say its a real thriller.

Well, actually....

My point was, Farrah died yesterday after a long battle with cancer and to see the media frenzy today you wouldn't have thought she had. Not a single mention on BBC Breakfast. Farrah passed away with quiet dignity after living a relatively normal life.

Bless you, for you are far too young to remember Farrah, her Hair and Smile. In the late 70's and 80's her hairsytle was the 'Rachel' of it's day.
