QUOTE (gel @ Apr 21 2012, 11:58 AM) Camerloon's late Dad was at it apparently: save his family, a heap in inheritance taxes. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/d...tax-havens.htmlYet another nail in the coffin of this weak PM's CV! Getting £300k from an estate valued (?) at £10m is 'profiting'? Seems to me he was almost excluded!!!!

QUOTE (dannyboy @ Apr 22 2012, 02:17 PM) and in the same situation you'd cough up the tax........yeah right. I agree Dannyboy! The only difference is with Cameron he keeps plugging that we are all in this together and we must all suffer the burden together. Well the poorest in the community are certainly paying their share after the budget, especially the pensioners and disabled etc, the richest have their tax cut from .50p in the pound to .45p and yet still rub the poorest noses in the dirt by hardly paying any taxes on their millions by taking it offshore. So in actual fact we are not all in it together are we? Still you can't believe a word he says anyway. Before the election he avowed the NHS was safe in Tory hands and there would be no top down reorganisation of the Health Service and what have we ended up with? The largest reorganisation since the Health Service was founded and it is going to cost the taxpayers billions to implement and fund the private companies profits.

QUOTE (NWNREADER @ Apr 22 2012, 07:10 PM) When someone dies, does their estate - as long as legally accrued - belong to the State, or the benefactors according to the Will of the deceased? As long as the will is valid, then probate office gives the authority for the deceased wishes to be honoured.

QUOTE (Strafin @ Apr 22 2012, 06:52 PM) Doesn't make it right. So you are in a position to ensure your own childern get the most out of your estate when you die, but instead you do nothing & let the tax man have it?

Just before I die I will withdraw all my money in cash, sell my house and withdraw that cash and give cash out. When you die how disrespectful is it to have your wallet raped by the tax-man, who you have been paying out of your ears to, for your whole life already...
Over my dead body.

Over my dead body. But it wont be you who is taxed, it will be the people who inherit, think of it as unearned income, same deal.
