 My friend went to the Newbury British Legion to ask them to put a poster up advertising a event at the local pub for " Help The Heros " which is being held at the end of August.  There reply was staggering, they do not promote other events in other places !! - if The British Legion do not promote a National Day of aid to our Armed Forces, who will ?.I suggest that those in power need to ensure that the British Legion is not run by Associate Members, but rather by people who have actulay served in the forces and care about this nation and the people who are willing to defend it. |
