There is a summary on my facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/richardgarvienewbu...rdgarvienewbury

But in brief:

Michaelmas Fair will stay in Northcroft Park
Hambridge Road roundabout will be completed by February
The additional works required at St Johns Road and Lower Way will be paid for by contractors
Speed surveys on the B4000 will take place in January
Kitchen bags will not be provided by the council, apparently it was advertised at the start of the new recycling scheme that only two drops would be made (I can't remember seeing that)
The council will continue to discuss lower rail fares with FGW for those using the train to get to school
West Berks have no visibility as to what caused the damage following works at Parkway, and will leave it to NTC to resolve

I do vaguely remember seeing something like that. Either that or I basically made the assumption WBC would take this step and start charging people. Therefore, i stopped using it.

I didn't really fancy a smelly tub sitting in my kitchen for days on end and then having to pay for the privilege. Gave up.

Glad to hear progress on everything else.

Thanks for the update Richard.

The first drop was made with the caddy, and the econd in Spring 2012. I've never had a caddy, so it hasn't really impacted me. I still think the three bin solution would be better.

Don't you have a bin in the kitchen then?

I complained I hadn't had my second lot delivered. When nothing happened for about a week, I complained again. Over the next couple of days I had two separate lots delivered. smile.gif

I seem to remember that we had an original delivery with the stupid container and all the information from the council was that the next delivery would be before the first delivery ran out but no mention of that being all that we would be getting. so typical of WBC NOT TO GIVE US THE FULL FACTS UNTIL IT IS TO LATE

It was stated right from the outset that a total of two rolls of bags would be supplied, after which it would be necessary to buy them, so I don't know where you got hold of the idea that we weren't given the full facts.

why are those who are most often wrong, also most often the angriest? its as if they like making things up to get annoyed about.
