QUOTE (Turin Machine @ Jan 31 2018, 04:00 PM) F1 has announced no more young ladies on the grid, hmm. Three questions:
Did anyone ask the ladies involved for their views? Who now gets to hold the umbrella? Is this whole thing now getting slightly out of control? Personally I think only girls should be allowed to drive in F1 and then maybe we could have young men in lycra parading around the pits. Seriously though, as you point out what are the girls who are presently employed in this field expected to do? Tescos here we come.

Strikes me that some ugly libtard munters despise pretty girls who can earn money with looks. No one has asked the girls.

Doing a job that's not needed, not required and offers no value, because you happen to be a (good looking) woman, is as bad as being on benefits.

QUOTE (Turin Machine @ Jan 31 2018, 06:27 PM) But it's a job, and I'll bet no one asked the girls if they minded losing it. But at the end of the day it gives the snowflakes and some hairy warted woman in a tweed suit and sensible shoes the feeling they're doing something for 'the sisterhood'. Lots of jobs don't 'need' to be done, don't need a greeter at the car dealership, don't need someone to make me a skinny latte, don't need need people from charities ringing me up, but they do. As you say, "its a job". Sadly.

But I doubt it's a job, It's probably a gig through an agency and not so much lost as discontinued. But my point is that it is not a job that offers any value. Nothing changes if they are not there.

Some mobile and not deskbound who organise the first part of your experience and make sure you're getting the right help. The people from charities are generating revenue for said charity and presumably commission for the company that pays them. The grid girls do nothing to help the sport, they are there purely to look pretty. They don't necessarily need to be completely removed on my opinion but the role needs to be changed to make F1 bosses appreciate the value

None of us know how many years we have left soy boy. Accidents happen all the time. 😂 Just a quick question. Some of the ladies at my place of work dress very sexily. Should I tell them to tone it down a bit as they put me off my work sometimes? Perhaps they should wear a veil and walk behind me?

Just noticed there is a moderator on at the moment. Now I'm for it!! ) Are you not be stereotypical in your assumption that TDH is, firstly hetrosexual, secondly in a company position that allows him to treat his staff as mere chattels, and probably not over 14 years of age. I have witnessed managers who thought they could take advantage of their position and they all ended up going one way on the career ladder. Let girls wear what they like and more importantly do what they like without the libtard diktat.

QUOTE (Berkshirelad @ Feb 1 2018, 12:11 PM) If the 'grid girls' are not doing any sort of job, why are they dressed in the sponsors colours?
They ensure that the brand gets maximum coverage whilst the grid area is the focus of attention. My point exactly, they are hired by and payed by the sponsors. Many of them have a career in modelling and corporate entertainment, its a proper job earning proper money. I bet they're real delighted to get hit with the feminism hammer.

There is very little evidence that those who push the feminist agenda actually have their "sister's" best interests at heart. Like most pressure group the tail definitely wags the dog.

QUOTE (DereckT @ Jan 31 2018, 05:57 PM) As a huge F1 fan i have mixed views. When the ladies are dressed respectfully (as in the British GP a few years ago in the Santander colours - full skirts and tops, very beautiful and feminine), it adds both a touch of class and glamour to the show. The ladies themselves seemed to like it. However at the vast majority of GP's now they are basically Lycra clad, designed to show as many "bits" as possible, the ladies are clearly cold and don't like them (especially in the back breaking heels they have to wear). Overall then on balance I have to agree with the decision to move forward and drop them from the grid. Unfortunately the teams always have plenty of scantily clad girls in their pits, so there is still some employment if needed. Totally agree with having more ladies in the cars, but here only proven talent speaks (i.e. both driving ability AND sponsorship money) Dereck Good points well made. Thanks.
