I suppose a lot of people will think if another 4 million are coming anyway they may as well make a few quid.

Totally wrong but that is what is going to happen....

The French trawlermen are already making 1k a person for dropping these poor souls off mid channel.😞

Let's hope that with it being one of the busiest shipping channels in the world with an unforgivingly cold sea temperature most of the time that rubber dinghy sales are kept to a minimum. It's less tempting to cross on a boat when there are grey skies and a swell, with a good chance of being run down by a 300m long 100,000 tonne container ship than with the blue sky and general calm of the Med.

Still... if there's money to be made there will be 'entrepreneurs' out there trying to corner the market in misery.

Lots. Unfortunately. The thing is the political elite have given up any pretence of "border". It's a thing of the past. The horse has bolted.
