I think it started with people parking and blocking the pavement, which is anti social if not illegal, but then all apparent misdemeanors are snapped.

Trades people need to use either suitable chemicals , or no chemicals at all.
Or in the case of home / private users then you need to again be careful of the chemicals you use.

Bit of water and PH neutral shampoo doesn't hurt anyone.
Then again, the statement earlier regarding legality was spoken like a true "parking like a ****" page member!

Probably doesn't think twice taking his car to the Polski's where a third of the work force are illegals.

I am pretty miffed by this, as I have worked damned hard to be regarded as a tw*t on facebook. Then some wannabee comes along and tries to steal my crown.

Although I suspect the person who admins that page, may also be behind the recently renamed "New Newbury & Thatcham" page, as the same post was posted to both pages.

I would have to agree though that the guy behind the newbury parking page is complete i***t, but as for being a tw*t he should leave that to the pros on facebook and these forums too for that matter.

Does anyone know who runs the Newbury parking like a Tw*t page on Facebook?

The reason I ask is because there seems to be a huge influx of posters (including the admins) who seem to condone damaging other vehicles which are deemed to be parked "like a ****" - obviously parking like a **** being relative to person taking the photo.

Someone, for example, must have taken a screenshot of my friends car, that he took - outside my house, washing his car . The poster claimed "had to walk around the car on the road, blocking the pavement". The only person who walked past was one of my friendly neighbours who has a lovely dog who we chatted to for a bit and she didn't take any photos!

in a quiet , high end cul de sac, with enough room to get a triple buggy on the path and a past on the road.

So clearly was a fake submission and the admin would not delete it for a long time instead arguing about it and saying they wouldn't say who submitted it because they are "anonymous" but there's no anonymity for the cars (and owners) involved?

They claim no-one is outed but for £3 or something you can get the registered keepers address from the DVLA and it's not hard in a small-ish town to note the plate and figure out where the car lives if you wanted to cause some damage.

Any of you remember andy1979uk? He's on that page also and up to his usual "benefits / scum / immigrants / children / keying cars" power trip.

The only car washing picture I can find that has been put up on that page is this one. Maybe you can tell us exactly how the number plate can be read and used? Maybe you were 'over-egging' the pudding and not telling people the exact truth on here?

The only car washing picture I can find that has been put up on that page is this one. Maybe you can tell us exactly how the number plate can be read and used? Maybe you were 'over-egging' the pudding and not telling people the exact truth on here?

That's not what motormad said, and what he did say I thought was entirely reasonable.

I was featured on the PLAT page due to me being parked at the end of a row of marked spaces slightly straddling the white bay line.
I do this intentionally to increase the gap between mine and the adjacent car in a mainly vain attempt to stop richard heads whacking my door with theirs and presenting me with dented bodywork.

Not so much a tw*t maybe?

The person who submitted the photo, didn't take it, wasn't there, so it was completely misrepresented.
When challenged the admin would not remove the photo, instead arguing the toss.

Just rather than someone go up to you and say, look mate you parked a bit selfish like, they stand back and hide behind the anonymity of their camera phone.

Then again that saves having to deal with speaking to some of the scum bags that we have to share our town with.
Ages ago I was in Sainsburys, trying to find a parking space. I noticed a woman had just loaded up her car and gotten in, so I pulled into one of the parent and baby spaces opposite to wait for her to drive away.
She then got OUT of her car and waddled over to me and was like, "where's your kid, these are clearly parent and baby spaces" and I said that I was waiting for her to go, she mumbled something (didn't hear) and then she waddled off, still shouting some crap about me but while walking away (which was annoying).
I suspect the kind of lady mentioned above would be very quick to jump on a hating bandwagon that you see online.

Although probably not enough server space for all the submissions they would get!
