NEWBURY'S so-called “Boy Racers” claimed this week that they are being “harassed” by police and asked for it to stop.
Hitting back at residents’ cricticisims of their behaviour and their driving on local roads, a large group of male and female teenagers invited Newburytoday to come and spend some time with them at Newbury Retail Park on Friday night so they could explain their frustrations. One teenager, 17-year-old Tyler Bridgeman, said the car park offered his social circle the only place to meet away from their homes and the watchful eyes of their parents, and had given him the opportunity to make new friends. I thought NGP was a very good idea, Ridgeway store a lot of cars up there and rent a lot of room, maybe they could sponsor some sort of cruise, by lettin you on their land?
