I have just received an enquiry about local bus times ,so into W.B.C web site only to find that the timetable is conspicuous by it's absence . I can apply to be a bus driver ( could solve the problem ) . I can complain about the service and even get the page translated to the language of my choice but no b****y timetable . Little wonder that local transport is poorly subscribed to .

Well, I just googled Newbury Buses and found a JetBlack timetable to and from Reading, and some mention of a service to East Ilsley but no mention of the town services. I see now why you went to the West Berks site since there is a link to them. I didn't know the Council was involved now - what happened to Reading Buses? Anyway, following the link I got to this page. I then clicked on the link for Travel and Transport Guides, and then on the link to the pdf on the right side of the page which said "District Wide Travel Guide (including local bus timetables) - January 2013". I think there should be enough timetables, route maps etc. in that document to satisfy your every need. (Edit: Strafin's link seems to come up with the goods, too. All we need now is for someone to check there are no differences between the two versions . )

The prices are going up but the service is going down.

QUOTE (NORTHENDER @ Jan 13 2013, 11:26 PM) If you knew they ran every 30 minutes throughout the day like clockwork, why did you go out 10 minutes before its arrival time? 'like clockwork' is not entirely what I said... and I probably should have said "It's a service that SHOULD operate every 30 minutes throughout the day..." Perhaps it was a bad day, perhaps the bus got held up, but I was out 5 or more minutes before the scheduled time and hung around 5 (more probably 10) minutes after it should have turned up... in the rain on a wet and windy day.... watching warm and comfy drivers whizzing past me on their way to work in their cars..... I gave up very easily.....

QUOTE (GMR @ Jan 15 2013, 09:41 PM) The reason people are on here (like yourself) is because they are bored. In other words they've got no life (or not much of a life beyond this forum).
