Thank you for all replies. I think I will stay with what I have got as it seems a good deal for what I am getting,

Hi Everyone,
Hope your all well, I have not been on here for a while, nice to see the same old people still at each others throats.... wink.gif

Question for you, hoping you can help. I pay £56 a month for my Sky on Demand which includes Kids/Movies etc but not Sport, half price line rental until April, and unlimited broadband.

Would you say that is a good deal? Does anyone else have a better deal with a different supplier?

Thanks all,
Amie

I'm here every now and again, don't get as much time as I use to.
Will make more of an effort to get involved.

Did you get your money back & complain to the bus company?

No i didn't i just got off the next stop and went home. Didn't bother complaining as nothing would of come of it. I just decided i wont use them again, unless i really need to.

I had a horrible experience going on a bus so have not used them since. Last year I waited for a bus at the stop opposite St Marys doctors (London Road). At the time they ran every half an hour (i think). So i got there at 3.20pm, and the bus turned up but said it was too full ( i had the pram with me then), i thought fair enough. So I waited for the next one, again it was full and was told to get the one after. So i waited again, this one was quite full but i was allowed on. I had shopping in the pram basket so could not fold it down - not that I could anyway it doesn't fold flat and I didn't feel comfortable holding my 3 month baby while standing. So i wait near the front squidged in keeping out of peoples way, and the bus driver said i was to put the pram away. I said i couldn;t, theres too much shopping and the baggage compartment is full. Also i explained i couldn't stand holding my baby in case i fell, and i'd been waiting over an hour. He said that i should get off. I said why, there is still room for people to get past me and get on and off. Someone shouted to the driver to hurry up and get going, someone else shouted i was fine where i was. In the end he pulled away so fast i fell back into the someone else sitting down which was very embarrasing! Thank god i didn't have my baby in my arms. I said to the driver he didn't need to drive like that, he told me if i didn;t like it to get off - so I did.

I thought b******s after that and walked home. It was freezing cold and i was so p****ed off.
Anyway i would never take the bus after that, so i continue to drive. Too expensive anyway for the service you receive.

At Tesco last week I saw a worker come out with her shopping in the trolley, walk down the aisle by parent parking, get her shopping out, leave the trolley and walk over to her car ohmy.gif So its not just shoppers that do it - its the staff too!

AmieB I hope it didn;t have too much effect on your son, I'm sure having to see this kind of thing could be quite scary.

He was asleep then woke up with it all going on, he was upset, but more to being woke up then the fighting i think! But no it wasn't very nice for my little man. Thankyou for posting smile.gif

Hope the sun shines for you. I always like Weymouth, even in the wintertime. Ever visited Nothe Fort? That's quite interesting with good views from the top of the walls

Thanks Hugh.
Haven't been but just had a look at it on google and i have printed off the leaflet, so we may well go there.
I love it down there too. I dont mind if it rains as there is so much to go and see. Were going to Monkey World on the way there - give a wave to the inlaws laugh.gif

That's the whole point though, some people think it's ok to dump their trolley, some people think it's ok to dump their litter. You roll your eyes when you hear something you don't like same as the people leaving their rubbish probably would if you approached them.

I rolled my eyes as i cant be bothered to go over the whole trolley episode again, thats all.
Going over debates/posts through out each post, nipicking just gets boring.

To make you happy (because you seem to be hung up on this one) I am wrong, i should not leave my trolley in the walkway at Tesco, i know its wrong. I will try and take it back when i decide to go back shopping at chav city. Happy now, can we leave this bloody trolley lark please......

Yes, and it seems to be getting worse. I've noticed more drug addicts on our streets and alcoholics (who abuse people who passersby). It never used to be this bad. You'd also think that they'd have a few police on patrol in Newbury - especially when there was a carnival on - but I didn't see a single one as I singled through the Town.

I've def noticed more alcoholics, even driving to work i see them riding their bike with a cider in their hand! ohmy.gif
I did see lots of police comm officers walking around when everything was going, but when it finished they scarpered!

Exactly what I was getting at. There were lots of police through out the day but when something is happening no one turns up.
It was horrible, families were trying to quickly walk through without their children hearing the f'ing and blinding + the fighting. Typical Newbury though, eh. sad.gif

I thought the whole day was brilliant. Was nice to see everyone enjoying themselves, and the weather was lovely. All though i got rather sick taking my little one on the tea cups a thousand times laugh.gif He loved it though smile.gif

Only part that spoilt it for me was when we left to go home we were walking through the town and a bunch of people decided to start having a fight. Chavvy girls attacking this lad, then the mum comes over and joins in. Lads screaming back, beer in their hands. Was not nice for my son to see and hear angry.gif The camera was watching them and following them but didn't see any police heading there way on our way home ohmy.gif They girls that were screaming and shouting a had a toddler sat in the pushchair also sad.gif

They are probably the same type of people who don't take their tesco trollies back. Still, it keeps the litter warden in a job

Went down Northcroft park (i know its called Godwell or something but i've always called it Northcroft Park, before someone says something), anywaaaaay, went in the park, had a walk, picnic etc and there were a group of kids/teenagers grouped together drinking and smoking joints. They were by the trees so out the way and it didn't bother me as they weren't roudy - I know what they were doing was wrong but it didn't effect what we were doing.(thats another post entirely and i used to be like that when younger) But when they went, they left ALL their rubbish. Foster boxes, beer bottles, rubbish - now that pissed me off. It was scattered everywhere. Why do people do this!! It really winds me up. We had a picnic and cleared all our rubbish away. I've always put ribbish in the bin from a young age. (Andy please dont go on about me taking my trolley back, i cant be bothered with that one again rolleyes.gif ) Leaving beer cans is dangerous for animals as well as children. angry.gif

I think its fair to say a cyclist is more likely to be involved in an accident then a pedestrian. Only the other day a cyclist went straight into the back of a parked lorry on Hambridge Road because he wasn't paying attention. And im sure he never had a helmet on.....

As you can see, I added a big grin to my post indicating I wasn't being serious. rolleyes.gif

I really couldn't give a flying feck about the trolleys, because if my car were to be damaged, I'd sue Tesco's for the repair. The point I was trying to make, which seemingly has gone over your head, is that it is an anti-social activity, that's all.

ASB is not putting a trolley back. Yobs going round town, pissed up, shouting abuse is ASB. I dont know how you can compare the 2...
