QUOTE (TallDarkAndHandsome @ Apr 7 2018, 05:14 PM) The Stephen Lawrence case was awful and they are WHITE scum, but this is the exception to the rule, if you look at pictures of fatalities this year. It’s a different type of crime though. Much of it is drug related I understood. Legalising cannabis would have a pretty immediate impact. In my day it was only really the more bohemian that smoked and dealers were that type too, but now it’s much more pervasive.

QUOTE (newres @ Apr 8 2018, 06:30 AM) or all black men in BMWs are pimps or drug dealers. It’s not profiling, it’s prefudice and the average policeman on the beat isn’t too bright either although I think that’s changing. I get what you are saying but I'd also suggest anyone in a 40k+ new beemer who doesn't have a "day job" should be looked into. Proof of earnings etc.

Proof of earnings etc. In the gambling industry if people want to place a large wager they now have to provide proof of earnings before they can. This is to stop fraud and money laundering. Surely car dealerships should also have to do this as well? If a young man in his early 20s came into the dealership with 50k in used 20s... He shouldnt be able to leave with a car. Unless he can prove where he got the cash from.... Just saying. T

If I want to invest in a new fund I have to prove where the money's come from but I can walk into a showroom, spend 85k on a car, no questions asked. Crazy!

T Frankly, the crooks I'd like to stop are 'white businessmen' buying boats on the Med - might save a few pension funds. This profiling lark is great fun isn't it.

QUOTE (newres @ Apr 8 2018, 01:37 PM) So how on earth would a policeman know that the person didn’t have a day job? Excuse me sir, I am investigating proceeds from criminal activity. Can you please provide details of your current and past employment? Nothing to worry about. Just a standard check.

QUOTE (je suis Charlie @ Apr 8 2018, 01:43 PM) It's called "an investigation" gettit? What, so you stop a black man for driving a BMW, ask him if he’s got a job and call it an investigation? Do you see why an education might be helpful in this example?

Do you see why an education might be helpful in this example? Well yes. If he was in his early 20s in a high powered motor vehicle with tinted windows in a notorious gangland area. I suppose you would let him carry on. Nothing to see here. You may as well help him sell his drugs.😂
