Contact the Planning & Transport Policy dept. at West Berks Council or pop in to their reception at Market Street.

You will find lots of local town and rural walking and cycling maps there.

I sometimes cycle alongside the canal from newbury to hungerford, that would make a nice walk

I go on a lot of walks with my dog and one of the best walks is along the canal.

The area to the south of Newbury has some lovely hilly walks. Beacon Hill, Watership Down and Coomb Gibbet being the most popular. The canal is very pleasant especially between Kintbury and Hungerford. The walk to Donnington Castle and then through the woods via Bagnor is very nice and there is a decent pub for a quick drink. Have fun.
