Why is Dr Who a woman?

This is a disgrace. The BBC have really messed this up. It should have been a trans gender or ethnic minority. A white woman? Disgusting and not the way forward.

Should have got Diane Abbott, a doctor with Dyscalculia. "Doctor! The daleks are taking over the planet! We must do something, there's millions of them".
"Ah, well, when I left the Tardis I'm sure there were only 187" "I'll get my socially acceptable unattractive sidekick to do me a memo update". "Hello? Jeremy? Got a bit of a problem with some daleks, or they might be Tories, not sure yet.". "oh! Go sick! Again! You'll send in the momentum team to deal 'social justice'?
"Sorted"

THE END.

Speaking as one who quite likes the idea of an attractive young lady prancing around between planets on a Saturday evening ,this is surely the way forward. Maybe we will soon have a Prime minister of the female gender or at least a train driver. I was under the impression that the Dr is A sexual, ( don't recollect a mention of breeding on Gallifrey ?) and therefore should have been re-incarnated as an eight legged blob, the sort found on Zog.

And despite all the hype, she is not the first woman playing the role - that honour goes to Joanna Lumley in 1999
