I think the Urban Myth goes back a long way. Casual wards and kind hearted folk go together.
Certainly back to Arnold Bennett and Orwell's "Down and out in Paris and London" These days chalk marks appear on pavements for the chip shop leafletters, as they pass by. I would still say be curious. They are always after sorting out dodgy guttering. ce |

How many does this metropolis need?  The "other" one is fairly deserted. By the way, here is a quote from a thread on that forum under the heading "Has This Forum Officially Died?" "Newbury Weekly News forum did a lot of damage to this forum. What they created though was the same posters writing the same drivel week in and week out, to a point where most of the good ones left. I've even noticed that the owners of their own forum have deserted it and left it to the lunatics." Merry Christmas fellow lunatics!
