Tickets for the Thatcham Fireworks comedy night on June 22nd at Newbury Corn Exchange are now on sale from the box office and online at cornexchangenew.com. Tickets are just £10, and TV funny man Patrick Monahan, Radio 4's Lucy Beaumont and the UK's only deaf comedian Steve Day are performing. All proceeds go to the 2014 Thatcham Fireworks display.

Last year, the firework display raised almost 2.5k for the Poppy Appeal on the night. The event relies completely on sponsorship and this year there is additional fundraising so that there is a contingency fund in place. The Poppy Appeal will be collecting again this year, and the main collection on the gate will be for the Mayor of Thatcham's charities.

Full event details for the display will be announced in due course.

Good luck with the event Richard, but you may want to improve the accuracy of your patter. There are more deaf comics in the UK than Steve Day. John Smith is one that springs to mind.
