I just wanted to say thank you to the estimated 10,800 people who turned up on Saturday night, and to ask what you all thought (those who attended)?

Well we enjoyed it, gave a few of us family oldies a chance to do something Saturday evening. Quite like these crowd things.

That's the official estimate I've been given.

As for the temporary events notice I applied for User, I had estimated 3,000. I thought that was being optimistic!!

Based upon the official death toll of that Tsunami was 10k, and now it's 2000... shall we re-think that we-estimate that?

I wasn't even sure there were 10,000 people.

Be careful Richard, if the Officials are bigging up the numbers a bill might be looming. You are in luck this year though, because you can say a bloke you met in a Thatcham pub said the Councils weren't charging for events this year.....

I went and I am pretty doubtful there were anything like as many as 10,000 in attendance. Maybe 3000 tops.

It was ok, but like the racecourse display, it was disappointing it did not keep to the times advertised.

A pity the dire Heart FM were invited. That is the most pleb-oriented infection of the airways and low-brow junk to curse our lives since Russell Brand darkened our national cultural life.

Absolutely right, would be in my interest to play the numbers down. Not sure I can get a bill now, but certainly next year will require a lot more planning!!

Yes, good job Richard. It went ahead because of you and a lot of people will have enjoyed their evening out because of it.

At least you can slow-roast the bones of your defeated Squash opponent, considering that's what politicians do in their spare time...
