Coming from an horse racing community, i find it very sad that an owner of a racehorse has taken Mr Fallon to the High Court Because he changed his mind on his mount in the Derby. What on earth is happening to sport ??? Greed is & has taken over & the end result in this case Mr Fallon is unable to take part in this fantastic race .....Very Very sad & angry

Horse racing has always been an unsavoury sport. Actually, professional sport is ugly. Boxing, FIFA, Olympic committee, etc...

In this particular case Lord Justice Jackson said

"Fallon has brought this predicament on himself by his deliberate and cynical disregard for a contract recently entered into. He did not improve his position by putting forward evidence which, it is now common ground, must be treated as untruthful."

Put another way : Fallon lied.

He also wasn't able to take part in the 2007, 2008 or 2009 Derby because he failed the drugs test and was suspended..

Sounds like a true sporting hero and excellent role model.

Or maybe he's just typical of what some of our sportsman have become. Shame really.

I agree with the judge on this one. It's about being honest and sportsmanlike, two things missing from Fallon on this occasion.
