I see party politics rears its ugly head again. This time the rotten Tories are eager to rail road the Race Course project, while the impotent Liberals fumble along.

The power of the Internet! tongue.gif Although I doubt there will be little difference in the out-come, I'm please that those that can, have made this decision.

I think this is what really irritates, no angers me with local politics. This is all so wholly unnecessary. The row they are having is not about the issue before them - which is the only debate the electors are actually interested in solving. No, rather its about playing silly b******.

Frankly, I was hoping for better from this lot - sadly they are behaving in exactly the same way. No wonder Local Government is held in such low esteem so no one bothers to vote.

So sad.

The problem is, the planning meeting was scheduled at the start of the year. Regardless of when the business agenda for that meeting is set, if you are a councillor, you choose to book a holiday at your own risk during session. I couldn't attend the meeting or the exec council meeting as I've been in Atlanta since Wednesday and return on Monday. That's my own fault, nobody else.

Moral of the story is that if you are a councillor and don't want to miss important meetings, look at the meeting schedule before booking a vacation!!!

As Douglas Bader once said - rules were made for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men. Anyway, from latest reports looks as if the wise men have remembered!

Nick, where did my horse go?

I don't know David, I last saw her in the kitchen.
