Calling all would be detectives in the Newbury area .
Yesterday evening at some interval my neighbour had the wing mirror removed from her FORD PUMA . Removed as opposed to broken off.
Now had this been a more popular model the chance of finding the perpetrator would be nil but there are not to many of this model in the town ,so if you know of one that had a broken o/s mirror and now doesn't please let me know .
Proof would be difficult but I would quite happily knock on their door and ask on her behalf .

WOAH.
nice rear aerofoils. laugh.gif

Let's say my friend has one. And had a broken mirror. And he bought a replacement one.
Shall I report him too?
Should every owner in Berkshire have to answer to you as to the means of gaining such a rare item? (+10 points)

Wish I'd found this when my wing mirror was smashed off when I was parked. Would have saved me some cash.

I would be interested to know how a wing mirror was removed from a car without access to the car interior or did you just mean the mirror glass.

The mirror repair link is for a repair of your broken mirror. Unless you have the old one, they can't repair it. Most of the factors supply cheap after maket for the most popular cars but I doubt the puma fits into that bracket but I wouldn't be surprised to find that it isn't unique to the puma as Ford tend to use standard parts across the range.

From what I can gather the glass and the plate it is attached to have been removed . This has obviously been achieved with not a little skill as I am sure one would run a real risk of breaking the lense ,so yes I would like to know too.
Anyway to draw this post to a conclusion she is going to book it into a garaage for repair.
Thank you to all those who have tried to help .

Electric or manual, to remove the whole unit on a Puma you need access to the inside of the door and you also have to remove the 'door card'.

Not sure what's going on here.

In some cars there is a small lever behind the glass that can be moved with a knife blade/thin key or screwdriver. Once slipped to the side the glass and back plate drops out as easy as 1,2,5
