This would be the same "chap" who used helicopters which would have been better served in Afghanistan to go and visit his girlfriend is it ? It won't be long before you will need a pass just to go to the Bladebone for a pint (which will put its prices up due to 'Royal Connections)

He would have flown to 'somewhere', and he would've landed/taken off again. Someone, if not him, should've seen the 'issues' in choosing his GFs house, but in overall cost terms, it was routine. |

I rather suspect he didn't 'get away with it', and the same for any others in the Chain of Command or control net that allowed the flight plan. Many stories exist of WWII pilots doing similar in their Spitfires etc..... But they were all Jolly Fine Chaps showing Spirit and Bravado |

Love this thread! Its real West Berkshire. Any most other districts who suddenly have something to celebrate do just that and make what they cahn. What do we do round here - just moan. Oh well; time for the war time spirit again - its being so cheerful wot keeps us going.

And now they are gonna start flogging bunting (and no doubt C****y china mugs with their faces on 'em) just to make ends meet !! Laugh ?? O well. lots of gullible peasants out their to buy them. How about renaming Bucklebury as Middlesborough just to encourage them (o, sorry, names been taken) how about the Kates Arms for the pub then ?
