Apparently "the council" has decided against holding an event on the 5th/6th of June for the 75th anniversary of the invasion of Europe. One of the most iconic photos of WWII was taken at RAF GC just before the airborne loaded into their planes and parachuted behind the German lines.
This is just shocking... |

Since the renovation and opening, it has been visited by many thousands of people.
