It started at 2pm and finished about an hour later.

The picture below is after the carnival had left Northbrook Street.

wow, some of those 'floats' really made an effort.

Thanks for confirming that me spending my time elsewhere was time better spent.

I didn't specifically go to it; I just went on my normal cycle ride and got caught up in it. Anyway, there are more pictures where they came from laugh.gif

It's attitudes like that that will eventually kill events like this - good job some people are still prepared to make an effort. There are a lot of good people out there who try very hard and DO make a difference.

Where was your time 'better spent' then dannyboy?

Yes, thanks to those people who tried to cheer us up, well done, well done indeed. Those blokes in the Model T Ford, for instance, spent their own money on the Laurel and Hardy clobber. Lovely that we have the dannyboys of this world to try and deride their efforts. Get a grasp....

The Laurel and Hardy chaps were quite funny and made people laugh.

People had a nice time and that is what it is all about. The kids enjoyed themselves.

Hi Everyone. I've been reading as a guest for sometime and enjoyed the various posts.

I decided I had to join even if it was just for this one post.

The carnival pictures are lovely. A big well done to the organisers and all those who took part.

My girls and I had a great day, as did the majority of people I spoke to. There will always be the odd killjoy but such is life.
