Always was so, but I'm afraid that person looks more like a para-military than a police officer......

“A 59-year-old woman from Thatcham was cut out of the vehicle by the fire service and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, said Mr Fisher.

What exactly is wrong with Newbury Hospital? Or are they still shut at 10am. rolleyes.gif

Newbury Hospital has a minor injuries unit - it is not equipped to deal with major injuries; the Royal Berks is.

Mr Fisher added the woman had been taken to hospital as a precaution.

Still confused?
And yes, a valid question posed previously; how on earth do you roll a car in Tesco's car park?

Because Newbury only has what's now called a "community" hospital.
i.e. one that is sadly lacking in meeting the needs of the local "community".

Or as my brother puts it 'a local hospital for local people'

I don't think the car was rolled. I was told that there were two cars involved in a reversing collision. One of the drivers complained of back pain and under such circumstances, fire-fighters will be called to cut the roof off to extract the occupant.
