Over the lovely christmas period i was doing my christmas shopping in the town centre as many of you were probably, and what i seemed to notice was the amount of buses going through. With the amount of people in northbrook street it really annoys me that buses are allowed to pass through. Ive seen many impaticed bus drivers drive unreasonably fast and honk people how didnt noticed a the bus. I have enough things on my mind without watching for buses. Im not saying all bus drivers do this but some do.

If the town centre was turned completely people only from 10am -6pm everyday and not even buses could come through, change the american bridge so that only buses can use it (im always stuck in traffic there anyway) then until the new parkway development is done (in 2030), this would ease some of the problems. And also the bollard problem it might help stop some of the cars following the buses.

Dont know what other people think.

For older people especially having to walk all the way to the otherwise of Marks to get the bus is a massive inconvinience. Especially as they can't wait in a warm shop and waiting for a bus is far more boring. I have never really noticed that many buses going through town (they seem far too infrequence really...) and I think the use of the horn is more too alert those using iPods etc than impatience (though they do have a timetable to keep).
