I take it you still want your bins emptied though? You may not be getting much else for your money just now as you shouldn't even be driving and using the roads unless you're an essential worker but all the same these are unusual times. The problem is that some people are now expecting everything to be free and their salaries to be paid while they sit at home playing Call of Duty and using this as an opportunity for an extended duvet day.

Bins might not continue to be emptied for very much longer though, even the green bin extortion racket will shudder to a smelly stop. No refunds for that I'll be bound. And the pension gravy train sails on.

And that is before all that rotting "fresh" produce stockpiled in the garage seeks a new home. Apparently we throw away 70% of the food we buy anyway, and though I think that's a bit hyperbolic, it does highlight that we are not only a wasteful lot but the binman is an essential profession.

And some of us are working harder than ever as 95% of the business has been furloughed and you are one of the 5%...not grumbling..glad to still be working TBH...gives you a structure to the day. Though I did wake up this morning and wondered what day it was for a bit! Every day is groundhog day ..

I am glad I am not the only one losing track of time. Probably more to do with the media delivering the same inane questions and answers on a daily basis than the onset of dementia. Seems to me that the real winners are those who have been sent home by their employers and still being paid in full, yet they are the group that are whinging the most. There is an awful lot of volunteer work out there than can be achieved but very few take it up without reward.
