I flew with Ryanair once and checked everything thoroughly and paid up front with their preferred method. Two of us went to Dublin and back for about £120. If you are going to use a budget airline then you have to accept that you will not get four star service. If they drop these charges then the flights will go up, at least with Ryanair you can choose which level of service you want to pay for.

Yeah but 60 squids to print out a pass seems a tad extreme.

It does, but if they didn't charge enough to put people off doing it, then they would just end up doing it all the time, and would then need to dedicate time, equipment and resources to doing it. Then they would need to raise their ticket prices to cover it.

Not sure why they didn't just use the internet/printing facilities at BRS

http://www.bristolairport.co.uk/at-the-airport/internet.aspx

I doubt they charge £60. Unfortunately this is a systemic problem when buying anything on-line. The is a box you must tick to accept you have read and understood the terms and conditions before proceeding. How many people actually read them?

As much as I dislike Ryanair's business model, they are very clear on the costs involved when booking.

Agreed, if you want a 4 star service then use BA, you get what you pay for basicly.

Not easy when you're in Alicante.

It isn't as if Ryan Air hide the charges.

And, even if you add up all the 'extras' onto that £2.49 'ticket cost' they are still cheaper than the other Airlines.

So does '£2.49' for a ticket.

Often BA can be cheaper too.

Been travelling back and forth to Lisbon recently and out of curiosity, priced up the EasyJet route. By the time I'd added on the 'extras' to match the BA flight, it came out cheaper. Plus BA go from LHR too so a shorter drive.

Sympathy from Ryanair Chief....not

She wrote to me last week asking for compensation and a gesture of goodwill.

To which we have replied, politely but firmly, thank you Mrs McLeod but it was your ****-up

I went to dog-sit for a couple who had booked a weekend away and were flying Ryanair.

They were so stressed about the weight of their luggage and printing out bits of paper - fearing punishment for breaching any condition.

I would rather pay more with another airline and enjoy my trip away!

I love his other quotes! Not ideal for customer relations but to be fair, he's doing alright for himself!
