I didn't want to confus the carrier bag discussion, but I wanted to draw out some comment on gel's opening points:

Are wind turbines inefficient? Wind isn't that far from grid-parity, and if investment is encouraged it'll get there all the sooner. Are emissions targets ridiculous? I don't think so, not if combating global warming is something we want to take seriously. Did I just bleat? You tell me (and I'm not sure I'd call myself a "greenie").
