A cut too far in my opinion.
Yet they have £resources£ to promote the LBGT community such as flying
their flag at Kidlington HQ, and promoting the fact via social media.
Their stretched resources would be better employed fighting crime. angry.gif

Quite agree that they shouldn't be spending on unnecessary firinge activities, but I can't see what's wrong with what they are doing with the dogs. In simple terms it seems that Police management have worked out that doing this will save a substantial sum without reducing operational effectiveness. So, from my perspective, well.done for that. The article says they'll talk to the Police Trades Union, the Federation in due course. The Federations response so far isn't grounded and doesn't seem of any great moment.

Of course, but they are not getting rid of all the dogs and Police management seem convinced that what they are doing won't have any operational impact. So, unless it does, when they'd simply have to reverse the decision, much better to spend the dosh where it would make a difference.
