The Leveson enquiry is now gathering pace and a great source of of fodder to insomniacs everywhere .
My concern is that in order to curtail the activities of the tabloid press ,legislation will be introduced which will effect ALL aspects of journalism including this little forum enjoyed by local West Berkites.
Personally I don't give a two C list celebrities to what they publish or not, ( unless reading the wretched stuff becomes compulsory ), but I will defend the right to write and read whatever I chose to the hilt .
We should all be aware that this ,and every other Government, would give it's right arm to have control over the free press so I urge all sides in this debacle to think long term and not rush into something rash.
The problem is the more we shout about it the more likely it will happen so be warned.
In the meantime carry on debating . wink.gif

We don't have the right to write and publish whatever we want - just the ability to do so.

There is plenty of legislation limiting what we can publish without fear of comeback.

I never knew such a list existed! I have found it, and the whole site very interesting! Thank you!
