I've never been in a Matalan store. What are their clothes like? Are they like Primark or Primart or whatever it is called?

Have a look at their website to see their range of clothing and homeware.

http://www.matalan.co.uk

I have been a customer of theirs for over 10 years.

Have been into the new store and am impressed with the range and layout.

They've got Ladies clothing on the ground floor and mens, kids and homeware on the mezzanine. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Am looking forward to pay day to have a real shopping expedition in there.

Do you still need to pay annual membership fee to gain entry??

My wife went in there today and didn't spend anything! Result - she can go there again! I thought (as did she) that it would be similar to Primark, but it is more a new look type place.

I went yesterday with my daughter and it wasn't that packed. They had a singer at the front of the store entertaining the masses (but not that many masses laugh.gif ).

I thought they were quite expensive.

You imagined correctly! The queue of traffic on the A339 yesterday afternoon leading to the Retail Park wasn't particularly pleasant to sit in and the retail park car park seems to get more cramped with each visit but it wasn't a disaster!

I agree with you there as my daughter and I were sat in that traffic jam. We were on our way to the Retail Park.

For a start that is a longer way around and secondly you don't know if there will be heavy traffic until you get caught in it. Thirdly, I have been that way around - Greenham Road - and have been caught in traffic jams there as well. In other-words it is the luck of the draw.

Dont think you would get much at Matalan out of your £57.
