End of the World. Doomed. We are all doomed. Flood (check), Plague (rats check), Pestillence (Norovirus, colds, flu - check)

So where will you all be going? Heaven, H E L L or just ceasing to exist?

My Brothers birthday is today. So I thought save a stamp.
"It didn't happen DID IT.?" Send it to arrive on the next day!

What is it with Christmas birthdays?. I have 5 relatives...
I am grumpy enough with cards at this time.(Not Moon pig)
Something to do with Easter?

It is a bit odd. This ending of the world thing. The number of the end of days has to run from culture that is almost
unguessable.
Babylon.Ur. Noyes Fludd. and Herculaneum. They all destroyed great civilizations. I can't believe there is a comet
hiding behind the sun waiting to bash us. Call me Davide Ike if you wish.

Still I think eating the chocolates is a good plan! Just in case.

I think 19 January 2038 is a much more likely date for the end of the world. Think "millennium bug" and then some.

Most if not all new pooters are 64 bit.

Most operating systems designed to run on 64-bit hardware already use signed 64-bit time_t integers, effectively eliminating the Year 2038 problem in any software that has been developed to use the extended format.

Which will not happen.
Remember the "millennium bug" - watch as planes fall out of the sky, they said. As your PC explodes.
Well, 9 and a half year old me sat there with a glass of warm milk, infront of my PC as the year struck 2000 and I was disappointed when my computer amazingly kept working...
I went back to listening to Blue by Eifel 65.

95% of new programs are native 64 bit with 32 bit support.
Almost all new PCs and Laptops which come with more than 4 GB of RAM will be 64 bit as well. So don't worry, dear. It's only a time-space continuum.

Dear Mayans, if you have got it wrong don't worry, it's not the end of the world.

Isn't it later today though? You are still doomed. I'm sitting here with my tin hat on, so I'll be OK.

So Montezumas revenge just got the planet in a pickle.
2038 ? Next date. Luckily my birth certificate will be well out of date.

I have forgotten where I posted about Richard Hugh Lloyd-Langton passing.
Andy Capp picked it up. I post it here because his father grew up in Newbury. (Like me)

He had a big send off, I can't remember the details as it was posted to daughter by the niece on a gadget.
A big rock do, but from what I heard religious as well. Which was a surprise.
It was late ,daughter had had a rubbish Christmas lunch.I had had a glass....waiting for her. We both got bored.

The event was in Dorset and the roads were flooded.
Have a good weekend festivities everyone.

I'm still trying to work out why the Mayans came up with a calendar that was, according to news reports this morning, based on GMT.

They needed to know GMT so that they could set their watches unless they could use the atomic clock in Maya.
