QUOTE (thatcham resident @ Nov 19 2009, 11:35 PM) I went to the cinema on wed afternoon with my niece and we were the only two people in there watching THIS IS IT, we was able to sit where we wanted. This is regrettable, but understandable. If one ever wanted to go and watch a film in peace, then Wednesday afternoon would be a good choice. I would like to think, however, that on school holidays, the cinema would get busier during the day. Putting my 'favoured' negative hat back on, I do fear for the long term sustainability of the cinema and it becoming a tax payer's liability.

QUOTE (user23 @ Nov 20 2009, 08:28 AM) Given the subject matter of the film I'm not surprised. I think they've missed an S and an H out of the title. There is that of course. A cinema will be only as busy as the quality of the film on view.

Maybe you only paid for one ticket?

QUOTE (JeffG @ Nov 20 2009, 08:24 PM) TR - Please ignore user23 - his sole purpose in life is to pour scorn on people whose tastes or opinions are different from his. We are used to him - you probably won't be.
Glad you enjoyed the film. Ignore me because I have a different opinion on the film than someone else? Seems a bit daft that, forums are all about different opinions.

QUOTE (user23 @ Nov 20 2009, 08:37 PM) Ignore me because I have a different opinion on the film than someone else? Seeing as you seem to have a literal turn of mind, I'd better spell it out then. I should have said "ignore user23's scornful comments". You are perfectly entitled to your own opinions, as is everybody else. The difference is that you tend to mock others whose opinions or tastes differ from yours. Back to the OP: did you take the opportunity to sneak into the "luxurious VIP seats" when no-one was looking?

Having now visited the cinema, late yesterday afternoon, I would prefer if they had staff informing people what is being queued for as we nearly missed the start of our choice of film by not knowing (as with some others) that the long line of people standing at the internal entrance for ALL screens was for Twilight only. Also would prefer seperate paying points for films and food etc.
Apart from that I was as impressed as I'd expected to be, i.e. very.

QUOTE (Good Boy Racer @ Nov 23 2009, 09:48 AM) If you want a screemer any time soon, visit the cinema when 'Paranormal Activity' comes out (wednesday), supposed to be very scary and the scariest so far for a long time! Made simular to Cloverfield with the camera.
I think this film is also supposed to be a true story, not sure. Check the trailer out if you're interested.
Comes out on Wednesday and i will be there! But probably going to be packed so book your tickets quick!
EDIT: Book your tickets for Harry Brown too, very good!!! It's 'The Forth Kind' that's based on true stories.
