Not used the passport service but if it is anything like the DVLA then I recognise your enthusiasm. Refreshing to know that the civil service occasionally gets something right.

Unfortunately 'stuck' at the moment, can't get near a fuel station for love nor money thanks to ' Les gilets juane', and it's raining! Had to cancel two ferry crossings because I can't guarantee getting there. Oh well, throw another log on the fire, open another bottle of 'vin rouge', hope for the best I suppose.

I’ve always admired the French for their protesting prowess. And actually for the lack of Americanisation. I can’t wait to hear the gammon moans about passport queues once free movement ends.

Assuming you’re retired and have nothing to rush back for, enjoy the extended holiday.

There's more ways to stop travel than passport control.

Still down here. Flew the wife back last Friday but I'm stuck with the car, still, there are worse places to be. Been in the wood today cutting logs for the fire, hoping to get back on Friday.

Not always quite so effective though.

Say it's not so. France is A Utopian EU wet dream for remainers.
It's the Country we should strive to be.
A high tax, high unemployment state where the people are so disenfranchised they riot and the President is less popular with the people than Donald Trump is with his people. We need to stay and enjoy some of this.

Don't worry, Brexit is dead on the vine now. Just sit back, hold on, grit your teeth and watch while the cabalistic EU flays us alive as an example to the other 27 that "this is what happens if you dare to want to upset the gravy train". The pain is coming.

Yeah. It's mental that so many gammons voted for that. I don't see the attraction.

I would hope that the EU will be magnanimous if we do indeed remain. They should hang out the flags.

You're joking of course. They'll hang us by the heels, a vassal state fit only to fill their coffers.
